The good quality of a good foodie is to hunt for local eateries,relish and tell others,because nobody should miss the good things in life.My bucket list has many number of eateries,I know its too early for the list.Last few weeks have really been amazing as I had tasted few hotels that were in my bucket list.I’m crazy about seafoods,living close to pondicherry had kept my tummy happy.The road from pondicherry to nagapattinam is an extension of ECR and drive is simply scenic.Now,lets talk about food,many people who travel towards karaikal, always talk about Jayaram hotel near sirkazhi and it is known for their only prawns meals(and there is facebook page for this hotel).The place is always crowded and there wasn’t any exception for me,while waiting,walked around the kitchen and there were few old ladies cleaning prawns when asked them how much of prawn do they do everyday,they said they clean approx 200kg everday.Omg! they make 200kgs of prawns everyday.The menu is very simple,rice,chicken curry,fish curry,prawn curry(curry= kozhambu),curd and prawns fry.The curd is always cold and i even named it as jelly curd.And there were a group of chinese tourists waiting to eat there.Their prawn servings are very generous than the sea itself that we had to take parcel which we had for dinner.We just need 200bucks for the meal and trust me you won’t feel like having dinner,but i did because didn’t wanna miss nagoor parathas in the ramzan season.Before you criticise the title,pizza,burgers are international food for us,prawns fry and kozhambu are internatoinal for them.:-)
